Two Individuals Accused for Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder following the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.
Watkins, forty-eight, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes which included the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was taken into custody following a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were seized.
